For thousands of years, Italy has been a major influence on worldwide culture. From Rome's Coliseum to Renaissance painting techniques to cars, fashion, film and food, Italian culture has become so intertwined with our own that we hardly take notice of its influence.

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (Il Ministero per i Beni Culturali e Ambientali / MIBAC) oversees cultural advancement in the country. They manage Italy's museums and cultural heritage sites, which have brought over 80 million visitors to the country.
