Practical Information

Online Information Sources

The primary governmental source of business information is the Chamber of Commerce (Camera di Commercio). Expect sites of individual chambers, which have links here, to be in Italian. In Italy, check with local chambers for other resources. The Italian Trade Commission can help if you are looking for an Italian business partner. Its business directory lists companies offering venture capital, and those seeking commercial and technical cooperation, including subcontracting. They list business events, trade shows, and more.

The Italian government’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze) and the Department of Economic Development (Sviluppo Economico) publish reports that give a good picture of what’s happening. There is a section on Business Services (Sevizi per l’impresa), but its information rather than assistance. Other information and economic statistics, some of it available in English, can be found at the Bank of Italy (Banca d’Italia) website.
