Immigrants & Coverage

All immigrants are required by law to purchase health insurance, the same as every other resident of Switzerland who resides in the country for more than three months. Any government-approved insurance company can supply coverage to any person who will reside in Switzerland for longer than three months. If this is not done, a plan is assigned by the government, with the immigrant responsible for the premiums.
