Boats

Few people own boats, as Switzerland is a landlocked country and the only boating possible is on Switzerland’s lakes. The cost of owning a boat is quite high, and it if you plan on importing a boat you already own, it may be extremely difficult to find a mooring for it, as the waiting lists for them are long. In addition, you will need to apply for a license from your canton in order to pilot it. Check with your local authorities for rules and regulations, as they are different for each canton.
