Approximately one in three UK workers are unhappy with their current job, and would like to trade it in for a new one, according to a PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) survey. Of the 950 workers polled, 41% of respondent said that did not feel appreciated by their employer, but had no plans to leave citing loyalty.
Other findings from PwC research found that employees:
highly valued cash bonuses (90%), gift vouchers (89%) and extra annual leave (89%),
would prefer a free MP3 player, digital camera or similiar gift of technology (80%) over being fast-tracked for promotion by the boss (67%), and
would still appreciate a work-sponsored lunch or drink with a colleague (62%).
